The facts of the Magdalene Laundries are devastating; the show, a shade less so. The women in “Eclipsed” share fleeting moments of laughter and make-believe that make this difficult topic easier to process – and all the more poignant in a moving show that’s also a cautionary tale about the complicity required to sustain such repressive institutions for so long. Mandy (Dainichia Noreault) has an obsession with Elvis Presley that reveals her shaky grip on reality.
